Not only does Frontier develop new, affordable rental communities, we also rehab historic buildings to create apartment living for low- to moderate-income individuals and families.
How does this work?
There is a national focus on preserving historic buildings that are abandoned, out-of-use, or would otherwise be torn down. Utilizing The Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credit program, along with other funding sources, Frontier has restored several properties and converted them into apartment living for people age 55 and older.
One of our rehabilitated rental communities is called The Pants Factory Senior Apartments in Hillsboro, Ohio. The Pants Factory is a 3-story historical building which was repurposed from a factory into a residential setting in 2004. It is now a 23-unit senior housing development. The Building has a mix of large 2- and 3-bedroom apartments. All residents of the Pants Factory must be over the age of 55 and they must have incomes at or below 60% of the Area Median Income.
