Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) Update

In response to the recent Coronavirus outbreak, Frontier Community Services has reviewed our infection control policies as well as our agency’s Emergency Operation Plan. We are ensuring that our staff and clients are practicing proper hand hygiene and following Center for Disease Control's (CDC) recommendations for health care workers. We are reviewing all information as it becomes available via the CDC and the Ohio Department of Health. Our Clinical Manager is in constant communication with local, state, and federal agencies and will be issuing statements to the staff bi-weekly or as needed.

We will continue to provide necessary care to all individuals as required, and as this situation unfolds, we will adjust those services accordingly. What we need from you:

  • If individuals prefer to decline or reduce their care needs or the needs of their dependents in this interim, please relay that information to the program coordinators

  • It’s critical that we remind all employees, families, and guests who are sick to stay home

  • We ask all unnecessary visitors to avoid visiting in the interim

  • It is strongly advised that all non-essential appointments, outings, etc. be rescheduled or kept to a minimum and limited to necessity only

  • Please use good handwashing techniques, sanitization, and standard communicable disease precautions to prevent the spread of illness

  • Cover coughs appropriately and do not cough/sneeze in close proximity of any individuals

We are in very close communication with local and state health officials to ensure we are taking the appropriate steps to provide the best car for all individuals we serve. All measures listed are the suggested measures to take in order to prevent the spread of illness. It is not recommended at this time for healthy individuals to wear facemasks while providing care, nor is it recommended for healthy individuals to wear masks while receiving care.
