Frontier Community Services was established in 1978 as a private not-for-profit corporation.

Frontier exists to promote, develop, provide, implement, and support persons in need of assistance to actively pursue a rewarding lifestyle according to their own wishes, their needs, and their capabilities.

Habilitative and supportive services to adults and children who are enrolled in the Individual Options Waiver (I.O.), Level One Waiver and Supported Living Alternatives.

Nursing, delegated nursing, day habilitation, supported employment, service coordination and transportation services.

Respite services for adults and children with Developmental Disablities.

Homemaker and personal care services to the elderly who are enrolled in the Passport Medicaid Waiver; care coordination services and Alzheimer's Respite Service.

Services to veterans who are approved for V.A. home care assistance.

Private pay services to individuals who may fall outside the entitlement(s) program requirements.

Housing development services including partnerships, consulting, grant writing, credit counseling, homeownership counseling and budgeting.

Developments include single-family and multi-family developments.

We are looking for compassionate individuals who enjoy helping others maintain their independence by providing personal and homemaker services to individuals with developmental disabilities as well as seniors.

We offer Full and Part-time positions in Chillicothe, Waverly, Portsmouth and Washington CH.

Cross Creek Subdivision

The Cross Creek subdivision is an affordable single family homeownership program located in Union Township. Frontier will begin building 7 additional units in the Cross Creek subdivision with a start date of May 2010. By purchasing a home in the Cross Creek subdivision you may be eligible for up to $40,500 in down-payment assistance from the Ohio Housing Trust Fund (final amount is determined prior to sale). In order to qualify you must be a first time homebuyer, be under 80% of the Area Median Income, have $500 to go toward down payment, be approved through an approved lender for a 1st mortgage, and complete 12 hours of Homebuyer Education. You will also need to pay or finance up to $2000.00 in Closing costs.

The homes consist of 1248 square feet, with 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a two car attached garage. All homes have concrete drives and walks with paved streets, underground utilities and storm water control systems.

We constantly strive to ensure that each person is treated with dignity and respect, is given choices and options hat are relevant to planned interventions, and that their human and civil rights are maintained and protected at all times.
