Developmental Disability Services
Since 1980, Frontier Community Services has been committed to providing high-quality, customized residential and community support services for people with intellectual and developmental differences living in Southern Ohio.

Centered in Chillicothe, Ohio, with offices also in Washington Courthouse and Waverly, Frontier Community Services (Frontier) provides a variety of support services including:

  • Individual Options (IO) Waiver
  • Level One Waiver
  • Self-Empowered Life Funding (SELF) Waiver
  • Supported Living
  • Homemaker/Personal Care (HPC) Transportation
  • Remote Monitoring Back-up Support
  • Adult Day Services
  • Private Pay Services
  • Residential Respite

Supports are based on the needs and desires of each person as outlined in the person's Individual Service Plan (ISP). Supports may include:

  • Personal care assistance
  • Assistance with medication administration for prescribed medications
  • Assisting with or performing health related activities
  • Household homemaking supports
  • Promote a safe & healthy environment
  • Community access for recreation, personal errands, and appointments
  • Encouraging positive outcomes through individually desired supports such as: money management, cooking and dietary needs, household tasks, community activities, and personal safety

Frontier is available to support people in a variety of settings including:

  • Licensed homes, apartments, leased homes, as well as living with family members.
  • Residential and community supports are carried out by well-trained staff who undergo monthly continuing education.
  • On-call staff, managers, and RNs are available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week to respond in case of emergencies.
